A Few Comments from Participants:
Thank you so much for giving me such on amazing experience at the Honor Code Camp! I learned so much about where I want to go, and exactly how I’m going to get there. You and the Honor Code staff painted such a clear picture for me about what joining the Navy really means. Finally, after talking to midshipman and just walking around the Naval Academy, I am more inspired than ever to achieve this goal, and that would not have been possible without you, so thank you very much!
I just wanted to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend your camp and see the Naval Academy up close. I felt that this whole week was a huge deciding factor for me, as I hoped it would be. You and all the other people helping you run this camp did a great job of helping all of us identify our strengths and weaknesses, and then showing us just what it takes to make it all the way to excellence at the Naval Academy. Years from now, when I'm actually at the Naval Academy, I will only grow to appreciate this experience even more. Thank you :)
I just wanted to thank you for the awesome experiences at Honor Code! I had a great time and learned a lot. It's given me some goals to work toward and I have a better understanding of what I need to work on. Thanks again!
Air Force Academy Camp
Thank you so much! This week was life changing. I am more confident. This will also help me achieve my long term goal of attending West Point.
This was the best summer experience of my life. Thank you for making it happen.
This week has been the most important for my future. My thanks go out to you for being my mentor and friend. You have my respect and gratitude.
I’ll never forget how happy I felt after you called to tell us the news about camp, or my first day at camp. But out of everything, I loved feeling like I belong here, with this group. This camp is wonderful and I’ll always remember the memories, the friends, and my goal for attending one of the academies. I came here with an open mind but still kept my eyes on the Naval Academy; I’ve got to tell you I really like the Air Force Academy. Its so exciting to have those options and support. Well, my next move = good grades, create a workout schedule and getting ready for more camp.
Thank you for everything you do,
This is Logan Dausel, I went to the Air Force Academy Honor Code Camp and would like to personally thank you. Over the course of those few days, you have changed my outlook on life and have helped me decide what I want to do and become in my life. Without your guidance, I would have been lost in this world and your instruction led me to the right path. Like you said, life is just a big boat that everyone is on and it has many stops. I intend upon my stop being the Air Force Academy. I will take the steps you have taught me to ensure my appointment to this academy and would like to once again thank you for your tireless dedication to helping young people like myself.
All the best,
I just wanted to thank you again for an amazing experience at the Honor Code! United States Naval Academy Prep Camp '11. I really had a great time! Honestly, I can say this trip has opened my eyes and made me realize what I want to do for my future and for my country. I wanted to personally thank you for being such a great impact on all of us that have attended the camp. I learned so much every day over the lectures and campus tours, and realizing what it takes to become a midshipman and the competitive obstacles that we must overcome in order to attain that goal. I am so blessed to have an awesome camp director! Hope to see you soon!
I attended this camp the summer of 2011. I am in the cover photo on this page right under pattons right leg. That week was so helpful and amazing. It was my first time visiting West Point and I could not have thought of a better way to see it for the first time. The camp was amazing and so fun. I went in not knowing very much about the application process. After the week, I was fully prepared for the application, and I owe a lot of my acceptance to this camp. I highly, highly reccomend this camp to anyone interested in West Point. This camp makes a serious difference. Thank you Honor Code Camps!!
My name is Molly Hanson, I am starting my plebe year at the U.S. Naval Academy right now. Needless to say, life isn't very comfortable right now, but I am still so incredibly grateful to be here! I noticed I am on your testimonials page, but I want to thank you again now. Four years later it seems unbelievable that I actually got here. Even last year during the application process I always remembered what I was taught at Honor Code: that the service academies are not like Harvard or Yale, where if you aren't smart enough, that's it. A kid who wants to attend a service academy badly enough will get there. That gave me so much hope through high school and the application process, and I believe that is what got me in here. During the next few years, if you ever need a tour guide or someone for your Honor Code campers to talk to, I'm happy to help! Thank you again!!
Honor Code! was a blast, and I loved ever minute. You, Mark, and Sarah did a wonderful job at entertaining and teaching us. I want to thank you for creating such an educational and fun camp. The camp has shown me what I need to accomplish during my high school years in order to obtain an appointment.
A Few Comments From Parents,
On behalf of our son, Aidan, we wanted to thank you for the experience he had this summer at the Honor Code! camp at West Point. Aidan thoroughly enjoyed himself, meeting people and making friends with peers from all over the country. He told us that he absolutely loved the camp. It was a great opportunity to expand his horizons as a young teenager, particularly in a program and within a setting that promotes leadership, commitment and character. The Academy also made a profound impression on him and he continues to express a strong interest in pursuing an appointment after high school.
We have tried to emphasize with our children the importance of building a strong academic and extracurricular record during their high school years. Aidan's experience at Honor Code! certainly has underscored that message. Regardless of whether he ultimately seeks an appointment at the Academy or pursues a career in the military, Aidan's experience at Honor Code! was not only a memorable one for him, but a valuable complement to our efforts to instill in him the values that will help him develop into a fine young man.
We are truly grateful to you and your staff for all you did to make Aidan's time at Honor Code! special. We wish you continued success.

Well, we are back from all of our miscellaneous vacations, and I finally have a moment to sit at the computer. One of my first priorities is to quickly get a note of thanks off to you and your family... Kyle had SUCH A GREAT TIME at West Point!!!!
Our return car ride home was full of academy historical fun facts, future data and class strategy plans, stories about New York, stories about paint balling, stories about the CFA... Kyle couldn’t stop talking!!!! My father also got a most welcome earful as we stopped one night to visit on the way home. I have to say; I have never seen grandson and grandfather so tightly bonded, nor my son have so much to talk about with his grandfather. The Honor Code Camp made an indelible impression!!!
Thank you so much for giving Kyle the opportunity to preview and experience West Point through your well oiled camp program. I can only hope that his recent enthusiasm can carry over into the fall and spring when he has to really start the push.

PS The “Right Stuff” plaque arrived. Perfect!
This letter is to express our deep appreciation and gratitude for the outstanding 2010 Camp experience provided to both our daughter Michelle (17, Air Force Academy Camp) and Danielle (15, West Point Camp).
Both our daughters have a deep rooted desire to attend military academies for their college education. I came across the Honor Code! Camp programs while looking for a summer camp that would give them insight into life at the military academies. From the very first phone conversation with you and subsequent email exchanges, I was convinced that the camp program that you have is indeed unique.
Michelle and Danielle both had a great time at their respective camps and came back with an even higher level of motivation to attend military academies. The feedback we received from our daughters was that they were able to interact with peers from across the US and the world, which had similar goals and aspirations as themselves. They also got to witness firsthand what it means to live and study at a military academy including talking to enrolled cadets. I think that the most valuable aspect of Honor Code! Camp is that it is run and managed by you, a parent who has children attending military academies. You were not just the Camp Director but also Dad–in-Chief to the camp participants.
I would strongly recommend Honor Code! Camp to any parent who has children with intentions to attend a military academy. Please feel free to provide my phone and email information should a parent need a reference or additional information.
Thank you once again.
With warmest regards,
Leslie & Esther Machado, Cerritos, CA (Southern California)
I want to thank you for the tremendous programs you run and for the dedication to the young men and women you exhibit in all the work you do. My son, Robert Nolan, attended the Honor Code! Camp at the USAFA in June, 2010. Earlier this year, he received appointements to both the US Air Force Academy and the US Naval Academy, and he accepted his appointment to the 2016 Class of the Naval Academy, and will be inducted on June 28.
This has been a long and rewarding process. The information, guidance and support you provided not only to our son, but to our entire family and me personally has been invaluable and a significant factor in our son's success.
You told me early on that an appointment is an honor for the recipient, which it centainly is, but that it also represents a special accomplishment for the entire family. On behalf of the entire Nolan Family, thank you.
Tim Nolan, 2012
It has been "March Madness" of sorts in the Machado household. First, we got word that Michelle received a letter of acceptance at the US Naval Academy for Class of 2016 followed by more recent news that Danielle got accepted into the Naval Academy Summer Seminar (NASS) for Summer 2012 !
Thanks to the two Honor Code Camps that Michelle and Danielle participated in, they both got the clarity, focus and drive needed to chase after their respective career goals - Michelle (Naval Aviator) and Danielle (Military Intelligence - Chinese language specialization).
The unique experience that you and your staff deliver to Camp participants is one of a kind and serves especially well during their challenging teenage years.
Please keep up the great work and continue your invaluable mission of making a life long contribution to the lives of young men and women.

Hi Robert, Troy and Katie!!
Just wanted to let you guys know that my son Patrick Rovney is currently at the Air Force Academy for BCT!! We met you guys five years ago when Katie was going in for her Freshman BCT and Troy was going in as a sophomore.
He also went to Northwestern Prep in Big Bear as well. I know Katie went there. He loved it.
I just wanted to thank you guys so much. The camp had a big impact on him! FYI – He paid for the Honor Code camp with his own money! It was all of his money that he had saved up for over three-four years from birthdays, holidays, and working... So proud of him!
Thank you so much for creating the Honor Code Leadership Camps. I am so glad I took the time to research leadership camps this past winter and to discover your program! Victor had an amazing week at USMA. The skills he learned will be invaluable during the application/admissions process to the academies and ROTC programs. During his week at Honor Code camp USMA, Victor made new friends, gained confidence and learned how to set goals for himself.
Once home, Victor took the time to sit down with my husband and I to review all of the course materials and information he learned from you and your remarkable staff. Knowing that we can contact you anytime in the future with questions or to request additional information is also a great relief as Victor continues his high school career while looking forward to the college admissions process.
Again, thank you for caring about the future of America's youth by establishing the Honor Code Leadership Camps. My family is so grateful and appreciative of all your efforts. The program is top notch, professional, inspiring, motivating, educational and fun!
All the best,
