Camp Details
Students attending the United States Military Academy camp, at West Point, will enjoy accommodations at the historic Thayer Hotel, located at West Point, New York.
Students will be housed in this full-service luxery hotel and conference center, where a buffet breakfeast will be served daily. Some students will be in suites of four adjoining rooms. Students will take formal tour(s) of the United States Military Academy, conduct an official USMA Admissions Briefing, attend several classroom training sessions, orient to the Cadet Fitness Assessment, cruise the Hudson River by boat, conduct an Action Paintball course, go Laser Bowling, attend the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, the West Point Museum and Visitor Center, and more.
Students will be responsible for purchasing their lunch; dinners will be funded by the camp.
Students will enjoy a field trip to New York City and see many of the iconic sights of "The Big Apple." Students will take the train (MTA) to NYC, which will be led by Honor Code! staff.
Students will need spending money for special tours, such as the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Subway, and spending money for lunch.
The New York City field day is flexible and can adapt to the interests of the group, depending upon group make-up, weather, stamina, etc. This field trip will be cancelled if safety or transportation issues arise.
Students will fly into, and out of, Newburgh, New York (Stewart International Airport - SWF), and airport shuttles will be provided by the camp.
